Choosing a UAE E-Invoicing ASP in 2026: What to Compare on Integration, Pricing and ERP Fit
2 min read

Every business in the UAE e-invoicing system must exchange invoices through an Accredited Service Provider (ASP). The Ministry of Finance's register now lists dozens of accredited providers, and the "pre-approved" status some held earlier in 2026 has been abolished.

Providers differ widely in how they connect to your systems and how they charge. This report sets out what to compare.

Start With Accreditation

Only appoint a provider that appears on the Ministry of Finance's current list as fully accredited. A provider that was only pre-approved had to complete accreditation by the end of October 2026.

Integration

The biggest cost in e-invoicing is usually integration, not the subscription. Ask each provider:

  • Does it have a ready connector for your ERP or accounting system, or will it need a custom build?
  • Does it support API, file upload and manual portal entry?
  • Will it map your invoice fields to PINT AE, or must you?
  • How does it handle credit notes, self-billing and exports?

Pricing Models

Providers typically charge per invoice, by volume tier, or a flat subscription, often with a one-off onboarding fee. Model your annual invoice volume, sales and purchase, under each offer before comparing headline prices.

Service and Storage

ASPs must keep transaction logs and confirm transmission to the FTA. You can delegate storage to your ASP by contract, but the legal obligation stays with you, so check retention periods, data residency and how you get your data back if you switch provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an ASP in UAE e-invoicing?

An Accredited Service Provider approved by the Ministry of Finance to validate, convert and exchange e-invoices and report tax data to the FTA.

Can I change my e-invoicing ASP later?

Yes, but plan the switch carefully: check your contract's exit terms and how your stored invoice data will be transferred.

Does using an ASP move my compliance obligation to the provider?

No. The business remains legally responsible for compliant invoicing and record keeping.
